Camping under a canopy of stars at 10,000 feet on a summer night in the Colorado Rockies where the milky way is so bright it looks like a cloud overhead. Capturing the beauty of the night sky has been an adventure of mine for the past three decades. I started taking my first astrophotos in 1989. While in college I bought an 8 inch meade telescope and connected it to my Olympus OM1 camera. Since then I have been hooked on this challenging and rewarding adventure called astrophotography. Capturing the faint light of stars reflecting off a mountain lake or the faint detail in horse head nebula. This is the magic of astrophotography.
